Dalmatians are very fun to own, they are pretty to look at, very smart and funny, but they are not for everyone. A Dalmatian was bred to run all day next to horse drawn carriages, so needless to say they have LOTS of energy. A Dal that does not get proper exercise can become very destructive and hard to live with. A necessity for any family owning a Dalmatian is a large fenced in yard and training at a young age is highly recommended.
